Danish Fuel
Danish Fuel was founded in 2010 by entrepreneur Michael Linnemann with a simple idea: to rescue and repurpose old jerry cans by turning them into design-led storage and bar units. Based in Denmark, the brand leans into the rugged appeal of the military-style jerry can — not as a relic, but as a functional object ready for a second life. The cans themselves are sourced from original European surplus stock dated between the 1950s and early 2000s, chosen for their iconic shape and industrial heritage.
Each piece is rebuilt by hand and re-engineered to work as a fully functional bar cabinet. The hinged side opens cleanly to reveal solid wooden shelving and custom-cut compartments for glassware and tools. Powder-coated finishes preserve the raw edge while keeping things sharp and clean. It’s the kind of piece that feels instantly purposeful — a conversation starter that also happens to hold a very good bottle of whisky. Danish Fuel doesn’t try to polish away the utility; it embraces it, and builds something useful, distinctive, and surprisingly refined out of it.
