NINM Lab
NINM Lab started in Hong Kong in 2015, founded by a small group of designers who grew up with cassette players, film cameras, and the kind of analogue tech you had to care for, switch on and look after. They set out to bring that same sense of connection into the modern world, not through nostalgia for nostalgia's sake, but by making things that feel real again. Their approach is simple: thoughtful design, honest materials, and a bit of playfulness in how old formats meet new tech.
The company first caught our eye for how natural their products feel to use. Their transparent Bluetooth cassette players and CD players look sharp and minimal, but they’re built to be used, not just admired. There’s a sincerity in what they've created, a sense that the designers are audiophiles who genuinely love these objects and want other people to enjoy them too. In a sea of forgettable tech, NINM Lab makes things with character — nostalgic, great-looking, unique and built to last.
