Teakhaus

TeakHaus was founded in California, working with sustainably sourced teak from FSC-certified plantations in Central and South America. The idea was straightforward: make proper cutting boards from a timber that can handle real kitchen use. Teak’s natural oil content helps it resist moisture and movement better than many hardwoods, but it also happens to look fantastic. The grain, colour and weight give TeakHaus boards a warmth that most utilitarian kitchen gear never gets close to.

What TeakHaus does well is balance the practical with the aesthetic. The end-grain construction helps protect knife edges, the dense teak gives you a stable cutting surface, and the boards are built to cope with daily chopping without needing constant fuss. They’re used in professional kitchens because they work, but they’re also good-looking enough to leave out and show off; a great conversation starter that actually gets used. That’s the sweet spot these guys are known for: serious prep boards that earn their place on the counter even when you’re not using them.
