Wingback

Wingback’s story began in 2014, with the universally relatable irritation of a lost wallet. Instead of an ordinary replacement, founder Alasdair MacLaine crafted a new one using leather salvaged from an old wingback chair. This blend of resourcefulness and craftsmanship laid the foundation for Wingback's mission—designing useful, practical, handsome items that are built to last. Today, what started in a small Bristol workshop has evolved into a climate-neutral, award-winning design studio based in the heart of London, creating timeless pieces that combine function, durability, and classic styling.

In the spirit of their design heros, (Le Corbusier, Dyson, Rams), Wingback focus squarely on ensuring that everything they design is minimal, beautiful and, without question, useful. And their products are built to last. Metal parts are machined to aerospace standards, whilst their leather is of the very highest quality. From the earliest days of LOG, Wingback stood out as a brand that exemplified our values and one we wanted to work with. They care about the objects they craft, the premium materials that go in and the meticulous processes they employ. They follow a "less but better" philosophy, which ultimately means high-quality, expertly designed products that go the distance. As Alasdair puts it " our aim is to create iconic designs that will last as long as you do." As aims go, that's as good as it gets.
