Why It Made The List

This whisky set is the height of handmade glass craftsmanship. Inspired by the calm, refined feel of a member's club, LSA's master craftsmen blow a layer of brown glass within a clear encasement layer, by hand, giving that wonderfully rich, modern finish. The tumbler rims are fire-polished smooth to improve taste and the decanter stoppers are ground by hand to a perfect fit. The bases of both are particularly heavy, conveying quality, preventing breaks and reducing spills for decades to come.

A decanter and pair of tumblers, mouth blown by master glass blowers from layers of clear and brown glass. The deep brown glass echoes the colour of peat, often used in whisky distillation to create a smoky aroma.

Expert craftsmanship is required to create the layered effect, gathering layers of brown and clear glass, shaping the gather and blowing into a mould. This also results in the exceptionally weighty bases, which we absolutely love.

The decanter stoppers are hand-ground and each one is worked until it fits perfectly, reducing spillage and costly evaporation.

The fire-polished rims on the tumblers ensure a better tasting experience and lend the glasses a more refined feel.

As well as the practical purpose these sets serve, it's worth stating how fantastic they look in person. LSA's legendary design experience, combined with their incredibly skilled craftsmen, has made a truly handsome set here; one that looks as good on a display shelf or home bar as it does in the hand.
