MORE DETAIL
MORE DETAIL
A beautifully illustrated exploration of trail running around the world, bringing together some of the sport's most remarkable races, landscapes and personalities.
The book covers 36 races across 20 countries, spanning short trails, ultra-trails, mountain running, multi-stage races and skyrunning. It captures the variety of terrain, distances and challenges that make the sport so compelling.
Alongside the races are interviews with leading trail runners, past and present, exploring their motivations and experiences. Specialist essays examine the global growth of trail running and the challenges facing the sport as it continues to evolve.
Some 300 illustrations bring the subject to life, with photography capturing the landscapes, athletes and atmosphere of trail running around the world.
The book is written by Alexis Berg, a sports journalist specialising in long-distance events, alongside Frédéric Berg, a journalist and experienced ultra-marathoner who has completed both the Diagonale des Fous and Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, and Aurélien Delfosse, a journalist for L'Équipe.
Published by Thames & Hudson in May 2025, this is a substantial 352-page hardcover measuring 29 × 25cm.
