MORE DETAIL

This extensively updated fourth edition is a definitive reference on Rolex, covering the brand’s history, iconic models, technological milestones and continuing evolution.

It traces the story from Rolex’s founding in 1905 to the present day, including the first certified wristwatches and the development of the Oyster case, which marks its 100th anniversary in 2026.

The updated edition includes recent releases such as the Oyster Perpetual Jubilee and the Land-Dweller from 2025.

A new timeline runs from 1881 to the present day, covering important models, calibres and key developments across the brand’s history.

The history section has been expanded, while the chapter on auctions and collectors now includes additional references and an interview with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The layout has been completely redesigned to give more space to the imagery throughout the book.

Author Gisbert L. Brunner has written about mechanical watches since the early 1980s and has published more than 15 books on the subject.

The book is full colour, hardcover and stitch bound, with FSC-certified paper.
