The Avanta Pakkawood Heavy Cleaver is Messermeister’s robust, all-purpose cleaver designed for demanding prep and daily kitchen use.

It features a 7 inch blade shaped for chopping, splitting and transferring ingredients, with the height and mass needed for confident, controlled cuts.

The blade is made from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, a tough, corrosion-resistant alloy chosen for edge durability and ease of maintenance.

It’s stamped rather than forged, keeping the cleaver well balanced while still delivering the weight required for heavier tasks.

A full-tang construction runs through the handle, adding strength and stability during repeated chopping.

The handle is made from Pakkawood, a resin-infused hardwood composite that’s durable, moisture resistant and comfortable in the hand.

Its handle shape is designed to provide a secure grip and good knuckle clearance on the board.

The blade edge is ground thin enough for vegetables while remaining sturdy enough for denser ingredients, making it a versatile kitchen tool rather than a single-use cleaver.
