The Avanta Kendrick BBQ Knife is Messermeister’s bold, purpose-built knife designed for barbecue and large cuts of meat.

The knife was designed in collaboration with legendary pitmaster Bennie Kendrick, widely known as the King of Backyard BBQ, whose hands-on experience with live fire and big cuts directly shaped the blade profile and handling.

Named in his honour, it reflects a knife built by people who understand barbecue from the grill up, combining serious cutting performance with a striking, contemporary profile suited to outdoor cooking and everyday kitchen use.

It features an 8 inch blade with an exaggerated rocker profile, allowing long, confident slicing strokes while keeping the tip engaged on the board.

The blade is made from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, chosen for its balance of edge durability, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening.

A black, non-reflective finish gives the knife a distinctive, modern look while also helping reduce drag through meat.

Stamped, full-tang construction keeps the knife strong and well balanced without unnecessary weight.

The handle is made from Pakkawood, a resin-infused hardwood composite that’s moisture resistant, durable and shaped for a secure grip.

The handle geometry allows greater sideways torque, giving added control when working through dense cuts and larger joints of meat.
