The Messermeister Next Level Magnetic Knife Block is a ventilated, open-panel knife block designed for counter storage that stays cleaner and dries faster than closed slots.

The lighted version integrates a bank of ultra-violet LEDs that illuminate the inside of the block for five minutes at the touch of a button, helping reduce dark, enclosed areas where bacteria can linger.

Knives sit against soft magnetic pads, so you can arrange them in any configuration rather than committing to fixed slots.

The acacia wood panels are designed to hold blades up to 10.5 inches long, and the block can store up to 16 knives depending on size, plus steels and scissors.

The UV lights run on three standard AAA batteries, which aren’t included.

For care, remove the knives before cleaning, then wipe down with a damp towel and mild detergent, rinse, and dry immediately.

Avoid wetting the battery compartment, and use mineral oil on the wood surfaces when they’re dry.
