The long, serrated stainless steel blade is handmade in Solingen, Germany, the world-famous centre of cutlery making with its own protected geographical trademark. The Maldon Bread Knife is a full size serrated bread knife developed by Allday Goods in collaboration with Maldon Sea Salt.

The blade is made from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel and produced in Solingen, Germany, a city internationally recognised for its knife making heritage.

The steel is hardened for durability and everyday kitchen use, with a long serrated edge designed specifically for slicing bread and baked goods.

The handle is formed from recycled waste plastic collected from Maldon Sea Salt tubs, processed and moulded into a solid, food safe material.

Each handle carries a unique flecked pattern as a result of the recycled plastic source, meaning no two knives look exactly the same.

The handle shape is designed for balance and control during regular kitchen tasks, pairing comfortably with the long blade.

The total length is approximately 230 mm, with a blade thickness of about 2 mm and a weight around 120 g, giving it balanced handling for regular kitchen tasks.

This collaboration brings together Maldon’s production waste and Allday Goods’ focus on practical design, turning surplus material into a functional kitchen tool.
