Why It Made The List

A handsome, hard-working saw that feels more like a proper hand tool than another piece of flashy outdoor kit. Inspired by traditional Japanese handsaws, the curved 25.4 cm stainless-steel blade uses aggressive teeth and a push-strike motion to make fast, clean work of branches, deadwood and firewood. Full-tang construction gives it reassuring strength, while the walnut handle adds grip, warmth and a bit of old-school character. At 453 g it’s substantial without being cumbersome, making it a strong choice for the garden, campsite or bushcraft bag.

N.B. Subject to 18+ age verification on checkout (OneID) and delivery (Royal Mail)

MORE DETAIL

A sturdy, compact hand saw designed for pruning trees, cutting firewood and tackling outdoor jobs around the garden, campsite or woodland.

The curved 25.4cm stainless-steel blade features aggressive teeth designed for fast, clean cuts using a push-strike cutting motion.

Full-tang construction runs through the handle for added strength, while the ergonomic walnut grip helps distribute pressure evenly and makes pulling strokes more comfortable.

A copper-ringed lanyard hole provides an attachment point for securing or hanging the saw.

Materials include stainless steel, walnut, copper, 900D polyester and leather. A protective waxed canvas sheath is also included.

The saw measures 40 × 3.2 × 8.9cm and weighs 453g.

For maintenance, wipe the blade clean of dirt and moisture after use and apply a thin coat of protective oil. Individual teeth can be sharpened using a medium-to-fine flat file.

The waxed canvas sheath should be cleaned by hand rather than machine washed, and can be re-waxed when needed.
