Recipes cover snacks, salads and sandwiches; grilled dishes, stir-fries, wraps and rolls; noodle dishes, rice dishes, hotpots and broths; as well as desserts, pickles, sauces and pantry staples.

Examples range from fresh rolls, grilled pork dishes and vermicelli bowls to savoury sticky rice, seafood preparations, coconut-based sweets and traditional cakes.

The photography is shot on location in Vietnam, supporting the recipes with visual context rather than decorative styling.

Published by Phaidon in hardback, the book runs to 496 pages.

It measures 270 mm by 180 mm, giving it the scale of a serious kitchen reference designed for long term use.
