Adler are a German toolmaker of international renown, making handsome, hard-working gear for over 100 years.

Forged in the traditional shape of its Rhineland birthplace, this signature Adler hatchet sports a wide, flared beard (the sharp bit) that offers a longer, larger cutting surface. The back of the head has a weighty poll (or butt) that works particularly well for hammering (think tent pegs when camping). It's also worth mentioning that all metal parts are guaranteed for life by Adler.

The handle is American Hickory, (stronger than European Ash) and feels comfortable in the hand, in part due to the enlarged palm swell, which keeps the hatchet from slipping out during use.

Textured anti-slip paint has been applied to add grip and aesthetic contrast, whilst a signature green stripe helps it stand out from the blander, more traditional crowd.

Its compact nature makes the hatchet perfect for more mobile or precise woodwork. They're great for camping, hiking, hunting or fishing, and weighing less than a kilogram, fit easily in any rucksack. With a relatively heavy head, they're great for splitting smaller logs, making kindling or felling branches. They're also great to have at home for those with a fireplace.
