The National Parks range perfectly embodies Field Notes' identity; incredibly well made stationary with vintage looks and an obsessive eye for detail.

This series is a collaboration, using individual artwork from a range of artists employed in the "59 Parks" initiative, capturing the grand majority of parks in the U.S. system.

The covers themselves are printed on a variety of coloured 100-lb. cover stocks from the French Paper Company of Niles, Michigan, using a custom, five-colour process that started with under-printing white ink. This allowed Field Notes to incorporate the colour of the paper into the artwork (we told you they were obsessive).

The illustrative styles, the printing process, and the copper staples recall the heritage, and archival promotional materials and publications, of the National Park System.

This set covers Denali National Park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Olympic National Park; three absolute stars of the National Park system.

Each cover is illustrated by a different artist (listed below in Product Specs) and within, detail is provided on the history of each park. Each book also includes a spot for the official National Park Passport Stamp on the inside front cover, making them as interesting as they are collectible (read: bloody great gifts).

When it comes to paper stock, you can be sure Field Notes know what they're doing. Here they've chosen 48 pages of Finch Opaque 60#T marked with a 3/16" graph to record plans, routes, notes, and memories. Corners are then precisely rounded to 3/8" (9.5mm) by a CRC round-corner machine.

Finally, in a move that echoes our own environmental mission, every sale contributes to the work of the National Park Foundation (the official charity of America’s National Parks), to help preserve and expand on what many consider America's greatest idea ever.
