Adler are a German toolmaker of international renown, making handsome, hard-working gear for over 100 years.

Unlike the traditional Rheinland models, the Yankee uses a more American design. That means a narrower beard with a thinner, sharper cutting surface. The design sports an even weightier poll (or butt) than the Rheinland, which works particularly well for hammering (think tent pegs when camping).

The heavier, sharper head makes them more powerful and focused for cutting and splitting, but with less surface area on the edge you need to be more accurate with your strokes. It's also worth mentioning that all their metal parts are guaranteed for life by Adler.

The handle is American Hickory, (stronger than European Ash) and feels comfortable in the hand, in part due to the enlarged palm swell, which keeps the hatchet from slipping out during use.

Textured anti-slip paint has been applied to add grip and aesthetic contrast, whilst a signature green stripe helps it stand out from the blander, more traditional crowd.

Its compact nature makes the hatchet perfect for more mobile or precise woodwork. They're great for camping, hiking, hunting or fishing, and weighing less than a kilogram, fit easily in any rucksack.
